Doctor/Nurse on Board

Our Medical Doctors and Nurses are all certified by the Nepal Medical Council. In the event the severity of the trekker’s and / or insured’s medical condition require a doctor on board, we also ensure that our doctor knows of the patient’s medical condition so that he is able to gauge the necessary requirements such as ventilator support, equipment required. This is then communicated to the respective assistance company activating us for the mission before proceeding forth, however, as per trend analysis,  maximum safety is assured as per the ground doctor’s decisions.


The major functions of Nepal Medical Council, as per NMC Act are: 1) Quality control of Medical Education of the country 2) Quality control of Health Services of the Country 3) Establish Ethical Health Care Practice 4) Establish Standardization of Medical Practice 5) Disciplinary action for breaching the Ethical/Standard Health Care Practice There is provision of one Registrar who is nominated by Govt. of Nepal, for the execution of decision of Nepal Medical Council as well as implementation of all activities laid down by the Act/Rules/Regulations of NMC. So far till 31st December, 2017 altogether 21,413 doctors are registered in NMC; among them 19069 are Medical doctors, 2344 are Dental doctors and 6079 are Specialist/Sub-specialist doctors.
